Budget My BiWeekly Paycheck with Me (as a very low income girly with health issues)

Heyyyyyy! So I love the idea of pay transparency but I don’t always see posts that align with where my life is at. I have lots of health issues as a 26 year old so it can be difficult to work with that in terms of flexibility for flare ups, back up savings when you are low income, and just feeling like I am actually adulting. I do struggle with seeing posts of girls my age seeming like they have everything together and I feel vunerable about putting this post out here. Like I said I love pay/life transparency but when your plans don’t line up how they thought they would (health issues, loss, unexpected events, etc.) it can bring some insecurities, well at least for me. So if someone is in a similar boat I hope this can make you feel less alone. This post is not about pity or complaining; this is a post about how reality can be for people with chronic health conditions.

I get paid biweekly on Thursdays and this month I have had quite the flare up with my fibromyalgia and also trying to figure out my newly diagnosed hemiplegic migraines life. Is it just me or do the seasons and weather seem to affect things for people? I work in healthcare and the “full moon” theory seems to apply in different ways lol. Hormones/weather shifts= migraines, lack of sleep, = soooo many things. I 100% believe in the full moon theory! Let me know what you guys think; comment below and share your thoughts :)!

Side Gigs

Pet sitting: $50 (just a Saturday and Sunday pop in for some cats).

Side note, I have babysat, housesat, and petsat for this family since I was in highschool. I love them so much and have became great friends with them!! I am so blessed to have them in my life and they are so down to earth.

Regular Pay Check

Healthcare Part Time (I am guarnteed at least 24 hours a pay period and have the option to pick up a lot since we are short staffed.) Since I have been going thru it with my health I decided not to pick up any extra this pay period. I also put money in a 401k and a Roth 401k for retirement so that is taken out of my paycheck as well.

Pay Check on 7/24: $335

now on to the fun stuff………..

Bills (I don’t have lots near the end of the month but I try to save for the bill heavy first part of the month):

Gas: I am alloting myself $50 for this pay period…..I will check in with you my next paycheck with the actual amount spent.

Car Insurance Savings: $50

Phone Payment: $89

Fun/Subscriptions: $30

Rent: $50 (I am very blessed to be able to live with family)

Student Loan #1: $25

Emergency Fund/Savings: $75

I will update my progress for my next paycheck….have a good weekend everyone 💜
